1. How do I log in?

Using MyEmail.com to access your email will be very simple for most people: just type in your email address and password, and press the login button.   If our software can't correctly guess your server, you'll automatically be forwarded to the advanced login page, which will prompt you to type in the name of your mail server.   Your mail server address will look something like mail.ispname.com or pop3.universityname.edu. If you don't know or can't remember your server's address, check your email provider's online help pages, or check your account settings when you have access to the computer at which you usually check your email.

2. What if I can't log in?

It's the little things that cause problems when people try to log in.   First, double-check to make sure that you've got your email address and password spelled correctly.   Passwords are case-sensitive, so make sure you didn't inadvertenly press the "Caps Lock" key on your keyboard.   It's also possible our software can't figure out the name of your mail server.   If you aren't able to input the right server name on our advanced login page, we won't be able to connect you to your mail account.

3. Does MyEmail.com store my password?

We absolutely do NOT store any passwords for people logging in.   We simply pass your information to your mail server.

4. How does MyEmail.com work?

After you log in, MyEmail reads the message headers from your email account.   It leaves your messages intact on your email provider's server and does not delete the messages unless you actually delete the message via our service.   This lets you retrieve a copy of your email on your work or home email client like Outlook or Eudora at a later time.   Our webmail client displays messages based on the header information it has retrieved.   If you wish to read an email, just click on that message.   Our client then downloads a copy of your email and displays it within your browser.   Your messages are not stored on our servers unless you move a message into a folder other than your inbox.

5. Is MyEmail.com secure?

Our service is as secure as regular email clients like Eurdora or Outlook.   We simply pass your login information to your email provider to allow you to check your email.   We only store messages on our service that you have moved to a folder.   If you do not move any messages to folders, then all your email stays on your email providers server.

6. Will MyEmail.com ever sell my email address?

Absolutely Not.   We will never sell your email address to third parties.   For more information, visit our privacy policy.

7. How do I sign up for a free email account?

MyEmail.com is not a free email service provider.   We provide a free webmail client that lets you check your existing email accounts from any computer that has a Web browser and Internet connection.   Check out our home page for professional email hosting services.

8. Can I check multiple accounts?

Yes.   Log in in with your main email address, and then you can add your additional accounts under "Options", "Check Other Email Accounts".   Once you have added your other accounts, our service will automatically check these when you log back in.

9. How do I check my Yahoo! or Hotmail account?

Unfortunately, Yahoo, Hotmail are free email services that do not provide remote POP3 logins.   You will have to visit their services to check your email.

10. Does MyEmail.com offer any spam filtering?

We currently only offer basic email filtering for our free users. If you are looking for the best spam protection in the industry, we advise our professional business email services.
